1. Overview

 The Master Client Index (MCI) is a repository of the clients/patients in the health ecosystem. The MCI stores the client information and provides an unique Health ID to the client. This Health ID is referenced in all the other systems to uniquely related information regarding a client.

 The Patient API provides a means for other systems to interact with the MCI.
